And they keep running for a day or more. Wired in by an electrician, the Aura 5000 switches over automatically in under 20 milliseconds; as a plug-in setup you connect what you need and enable the output in the app.
You can do it yourself. The NEXA 2000 and Aura 5000 plug into a standard wall socket. No rewiring, no electrician.
There is one step beyond plugging it in: download the app, connect the battery to your wifi and set it up. That's where you choose how it charges and switch on the backup output. It takes about ten minutes, and the battery won't do much until you've done it.
An electrician is only needed if you want the Aura 5000 hardwired for 2500W backup instead of 800W.
Yes. The Growatt NEXA 2000 is designed exactly for balcony and apartment living in cities like Lisbon, Cascais and Porto. It's compact. 41 × 24 × 29cm and 24kg. Plugs into a standard wall socket, and can pair with balcony solar panels if you want to generate your own power.
Nothing is drilled, wired or permanently attached, so it stays yours if you move.
No, you don't need to be in Portugal yourself. Once your order is dispatched, the carrier contacts you by email and then calls to agree a delivery date, so you always know in advance when the system arrives. Delivery can be accepted by your house-sitter, housekeeper, property manager or neighbour, and the installation itself works the same way. Our installer can carry out the full install with your housekeeper letting him in, or we schedule it around your next visit if you'd rather be there.
Either way you get photos and a short WhatsApp walkthrough of the finished system, so you know exactly what's in your house before you land.
In most cases you don't need a permit, but your system does need to be registered. Solar panels totalling up to 700 Wp that don't feed power back into the grid are exempt entirely.
Above that, and up to 30 kW (which covers virtually every home in Portugal), the system needs a Mera Comunicação Prévia — a simple online notification to DGEG, the national energy authority.
Registration is free, but by law it must be signed off by a DGEG-recognised technician, so it isn't something you file yourself. We handle the entire registration for you, in English, as part of every installation.
We do, in English, from our base in the Algarve. Batteries come with a 10-year manufacturer warranty and solar panels with 25 years. You deal with us directly by WhatsApp, email or phone, not with a service centre abroad. And we can come to your house if needed.
Most orders arrive within 5–8 working days anywhere in mainland Portugal. Products ship directly from our supplier, and the carrier contacts you to agree a delivery date, so you know in advance when it arrives. Delivery to Madeira and the Azores takes longer.

These prices cover the core equipment: panels, inverter and battery. Mounting hardware and electrical materials are quoted separately, because they depend on your roof type and the distance between panels, inverter and meter box.

Yes, we deliver anywhere in mainland Europe, usually within 5–8 working days. Our products are the same across the EU, so you can order from Spain, France, the Netherlands or anywhere else on the mainland. Installation and on-site service are available in the Algarve region only.
